I absolutely hate public speaking! To get my degree in college I had to take a speaking class for part of the program. That was the longest semester of my life. I was hoping it would help me, but it never did. I think some people are just not made for public speaking, and I am one.

I’m never one who likes to be speaking infront of (even 5) people but my job calls for it. As long as I know and have the mastery of what I’m talking about, I’m good. So I can say is public speaking takes not only guts but really knowing your topic, inside-out. And throw in a joke or two.

  4. kevin in bellingham says:

Public speaking is horrible, lucky for me I don’t ever have to do it but I have done some in college and high school. The only thing I tried to do is relax and just have fun. Turn the attention back onto the crowd some how. One time i got the crowd involved and laughing and it was quite the rush.

  5. Martin Ng says:

If you hate public speaking, just go look at some video of George W Bush’s public speaking adventures. They’re sure to make you feel better about anything you’ve done … and he made president!
