Taking a Break

13 Sep 2007 (Thu)

WHAT WILL A BLOGGER DO when s/he gets an amazing offer to do a joint research project with an overseas professor AND joins a management council in her estate AND works almost full-time around the same time? S/he could choose to spill it all, complete with names, juicy bits, rumors, maybe even email messages, photos, podcasts and vidcasts… OR s/he could simply clam up.

In my case, I’ve chosen the latter because I’m basically a private person, PLUS council work has turned out to be really time-consuming (gasp!) AND really serious work, bound by strict building management laws and regulations.

I’m taking a break for another month or so. Pardon my silence.

Congrats on everything that is going on with your life. It sounds like some exciting times lie ahead for you.

As for being a private person. What do you mean? You have a blog :)

Thanks, Barry. Is a blog definitely a personal diary? In the early days, the answer is very likely yes. In these days, if you still think so, you may want to do some research on this.

It doesn’t matter with your silence, if you feel forspent, go to bed for a deep sleep! don’t worry about the bored things outside.

Have fun with your silence, man. Every blogger needs that. I do need one, too.

    When are you coming back?

Hi! I love getting your comments, especially on-topic questions, opinions, experiences or insights. In fact, as Chris Brogan put it, "The more valuable your comments, the more it reflects on your ability and your character." Only then is it useful to build awareness of your brand. And if I'm impressed by your comment, I may write a post that links to some useful content on your blog. On the other hand, personal attacks (on anyone), inane comments, and advertorial comments (e.g. comments signed off with a product/service name and not a human name/nickname... read my rant here) will be deleted or sent to my Spam filter.
