Marios, as I've written, "I very much prefer that you link to my blog or posts because you like or appreciate something (read content, information, opinion, perspective, etc.) I write here and NOT because of a plugin I use or that you think you can get a link in return."

Afternote 1st June 2007: As I've explained in the "Links on Comments Here 'DoFollow'” post: "I truly hope to encourage more meaningful discussions on my posts and at the same time reward commentators with links to their sites (and so help them improve their Google PageRank)."

“NoFollow” was proposed by Google because of spam. I started using DoFollow because I thought that we’ve got spam under control through spam filters. However, I forgot that there are other more subtle forms of spam — e.g. useless / meaningless one-liners.

Being linked via D-Lists like the ones I mentioned has meant that I'm getting more visitors who drop in to put in yet another meaningless one-liner. I've no wish to contribute to this subtle pollution of information on the Web.

I truly hope you and others can understand this line of reasoning.

Note: The “DoFollow” plugin is supposed to encourage comments and generate links for commentators. It was not meant to generate links for the plugin user. These D-Lists are new, started only recently.

I'm still not sure why you don't want the links. You asked that people link if they appreciate something here. Well your use of a dofollow plugin associates you with a movement that some people appreciate, hence the links. From my perspective, people are already doing exactly what you just asked them to do.
