Google - The Best Place To Work

11 Feb 2007 (Sun)

Is this how the actual Google “office” is like? I wanna be there too!

Note: Found this video because someone from Harro left a note on the shoutbox on one of my websites. So I checked out his/her website. It happened to be Harro Channels which has a link to ping.sg, a community meta blog for Singapore bloggers. There was a listing of popular posts. So, I clicked on the topmost one… and voila!

Afternote: Since the video is no longer available, I’m adding a quote from Google CEO Eric Schmidt which summarizes what the video showed:

“The goal is to strip away everything that gets in our employees way. We provide a standard package of fringe benefits, but on top of that are first-class dining facilities, gyms, laundry rooms, massage rooms, haircuts, carwashes, dry cleaning, commuting buses - just about anything a hardworking employee engineer might want. Let’s face it: programmers want to program, they don’t want to do their laundry. So we make it easy for them to do both.”
